  • Christine Croft

    CEO

    • Former AHM SVP & CFO
    • Experienced Executive with nineteen years’ experience in Financial Management within technology and service industries

    Christine is AHM’s CEO and is responsible for leading the strategic direction of the Company, sales and business development, organizational effectiveness and operational excellence.  She was AHM’s SVP & CFO for three years prior to this and was responsible for financial management, human resources, information technology, facilities and contracts. She also has nineteen years of financial management experience within technology and service industries, including twelve years within Life Sciences.

    Most recently, Christine served as the CFO of the Americas region at Cegedim, where she led many strategic growth initiatives, including execution of mergers and acquisitions within the region. As VP Finance and Investor Relations at Dendrite International, she played an integral role in the ultimate strategic sale to Cegedim and the integration of the two global firms. She has led several initiatives throughout her career which have driven operating efficiencies and improved profitability.

    Christine received a Bachelor of Science degree at Lehigh University.

    Kevin McMurtry is the Founder of Advanced Health Media, LLC (AHM) a Life Sciences technology and marketing services company he created in 1999. He served as AHM’s CEO from 1999 to 2010 when he assumed the role of Chairman of the Board of Directors of AHM. In 2017 Kevin was promoted by AHM’s Board to Executive Chairman.

    During his time at AHM, the Company was five times selected an Inc. 500/5000 company and AHM was named New Jersey’s Finest and the Fastest Growing Business twice by NJ Biz magazine. Kevin McMurtry was chosen as the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year in the Business Services category in New Jersey in 2006.

    Kevin McMurtry was raised in Branchburg, NJ and attended Somerville High School. Kevin received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy from Colgate University and an MBA with concentrations in Finance and Marketing from the Stern School of Business, New York University.

    Kevin McMurtry began his career with Procter & Gamble and worked for Reed-Elsevier prior to founding Advanced Health Media.

    Jeff is a proven operating leader with over 15 years of success leading transformational growth and profitability from start-up to middle market healthcare companies. He has successfully grown companies through strategic differentiation and an unrelenting focus on customer needs, execution and quality.

    Currently, Jeff has returned to AHM as its Chief Operating Officer, a company he helped grow into a market leader from 2001-2011. Prior to this role, Jeff was Executive Chairman and CEO of Qforma, an innovative analytics company developing value-creating solutions for the global pharmaceutical industry.

    Prior to Qforma, Jeff was CEO & President of Avatar Solutions, a survey company offering patient care experience and employee engagement services. While at Avatar, Jeff executed a turnaround strategy for the company, including reorganizing and upgrading the management team, improving operational quality and reliability, and transforming outdated technology.

    Prior to Avatar, Jeff was CEO & President of AHM, LLC, a company he joined in December, 2001 and grew from single-digit to several hundred million in annual revenues over 6 years. Under Jeff’s leadership, AHM built a highly efficient and scalable business model that meets critical needs for regulatory compliance control and financial management in the global pharmaceutical industry. As a result of these strategies, AHM became the market leader in this sector, providing this technology- enabled service to over 40 pharmaceutical companies, including 15 of the top twenty industry leaders, many of whom have relied upon these innovative solutions for several years.

    Prior to AHM, Jeff was a management consultant at Marakon Associates, a consultancy that advises CEO’s and their senior management teams on developing rigorous strategic management capabilities. He worked with Fortune 500 companies in both the U.S. and U.K. in the aerospace, defense, high-tech and financial services industries.

    Jeff also served in the U.S. Navy as a nuclear submarine officer. He held a variety of operational roles and was a certified Navy Nuclear Engineer.

    Jeff holds a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Purdue University and an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management. He has authored a number of published articles relating to regulatory compliance in the pharmaceutical industry and speaks regularly at related conferences.

  • Frank Spender

    Chief Financial Officer

    Frank serves as Chief Financial Officer for AHM with responsibility for financial management, information technology, facilities and contracts. Frank initially joined AHM in January 2016 as the Vice President of Finance. Frank has more than twenty years of financial management experience in the technology and pharma services industries.

    Most recently, Frank was with IMS Health with finance responsibility for the Global Technology division where he focused on the integration of technology teams acquired from Cegedim. During 14 years with Cegedim Frank held various financial roles, including CFO of the Americas, in which he focused on improving profitability and enhancing operational excellence. Frank’s initial career included internal audit roles with Amerada Hess and PwC. Through all these roles, Frank works to find the proper interaction of people, technology, and processes to improve the effectiveness of organizations.

    Frank has a BS, Accounting from the College of New Jersey. Frank lives with his wife and two kids in northwest New Jersey.

    Since joining AHM in 2001, Peter’s responsibilities have spanned sales and account management. He has been involved in the launch and implementation of many of AHM’s key customers. Included among these is AHM’s initial global services implementation. His current responsibilities include the executive management of three top ten global pharmaceutical clients. Prior to AHM, Peter spent eight years in the medical education industry as an Account Vice President for SCP Communications. He received a B.A. in Communications from The College of New Jersey

    Susan joined AHM in June of 2013 and is responsible for the oversight and management of AHM’s Global Business Development and Solutions and Marketing team. With over nineteen years of experience in the Life Science industry, Susan brings experience in business development, product marketing, and new technology investment and optimization.

    At EMC Consulting, Susan was responsible for strategic consulting engagements focused on leveraging technology to optimize Life Science commercial organization costs and effectiveness, minimize costs of compliance with state and federal regulations, and maximize the effectiveness of their business. Prior to EMC, Susan spent a number of years at Cegedim/Dendrite, where she held a number of senior management positions including Vice President, Implementation & Client Services, Global Account Director and Director, Global Product Management & Strategic Marketing.

    Susan received a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Maryland and a Master of Science degree in Business Management from Johns Hopkins University.

  • Martin Magazzolo

    Mr. Magazzolo is a business executive with over 22 years of progressively increasing responsibilities with technology and professional services firms.  With 20 years in Life Sciences, Mr. Magazzolo has a well-established network along with a thorough understanding of the Pharmaceutical and Biopharmaceutical industry.  Marty is known for building strong leadership teams and performance driven cultures with a focus on transforming solutions companies to higher growth, greater profitability and increased shareholder value.  Senior Executive level responsibilities span from Sales, Strategy, Professional Services Delivery and Software Product Development.

    Currently, Mr. Magazzolo is a Senior Vice President at Advanced Health Media (AHM) responsible for Global Sales & Marketing.  As a member of the executive team, responsibilities include global strategic account management and supporting the overall growth of the business.

    Prior to his AHM experience, Mr. Magazzolo worked for Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC) as an Executive Director and had Global business unit P&L responsibility for the Life Science Software and Services business unit at CSC.   His primary responsibilities are to direct and manage the $80M+ per year global business unit.   This global business unit is software product based, consisting of professional services resources, product development and support teams, a solutions team, and a sales and marketing team.  The practice has several market leading products such as FirstDoc and eCTDxpress used in supporting the regulated process for pharmaceutical product development.  Over the past few years, Mr. Magazzolo has lead the team by establishing a new strategy to strengthen the current market position as well as position the practice for growth.  This is based on the principles of coupling business process outsourcing, software and use of cloud for delivering an as-a-Service (aaS) model.

    Prior to his current role, Mr. Magazzolo was the Global Sales and Solutions Director for the Life Science practice with many years of a proven track record of success.  His primary responsibility included managing a global sales team accountable for over $62M in annual revenue for the division.  Responsibilities included establishing business development initiatives, managing Account Executives, participating in strategic divisional initiatives, and managing large to midsized strategic accounts from sales to delivery.  These responsibilities were focused on building strong client relations by delivering successful solutions and services

    Mr. Magazzolo joined CSC (via ISCG/FCG acquisitions) in 1994 as a Consultant.  During this tenure Mr. Magazzolo has demonstrated extensive experience in managing customers, sales support roles, leading the development of new solutions, delivering industry presentations, as well as managing and supporting the full life-cycle of application development; from analysis, design, development, and implementation.

    Prior to his CSC experience, Mr. Magazzolo worked for General Electric (GE) Aerospace in a variety of engineering roles.  Mr. Magazzolo, a native of New York, graduated from Rutgers University with a B.S. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering.  He also has a M.S. degree in Computer Engineering from Penn State University.  Mr. Magazzolo is married with four children and currently living in Pennsylvania.

     

  • Robyn Burke

    VP, Human Resources

    • Experienced Human Resources Executive with twenty years’ experience in Human Resources Management within technology and service industries
    • M.Ed. Human Resource Development Vanderbilt University and B.S. in Human Development from Vanderbilt University

    Robyn joined AHM in November 2013 as Vice President, Human Resources and is responsible for leading and driving the people strategy and programs of the Company. She provides global HR leadership while also ensuring the implementation and management of HR functions, such as compensation, benefits, performance management, talent acquisition and development, HR systems. employee relations, and compliance.

    Prior to joining AHM, Robyn served as the VP, HR for the US and UK for EXL Services, a global BPO services provider headquartered in NY. There she provided strategic HR Business partnership to Global Client Services, including practices in Insurance and Healthcare, Financial Transformation, Analytics, and Banking and Capital Markets. Prior to that she worked for CSC, a global information technology company, in a variety of HR management and HR partner positions in their commercial outsourcing, Global Sales and Marketing, and Consulting divisions. She was the HR leader responsible for several mergers and acquisitions, as well as multiple outsourcing deals.

    Robyn also has experience as an external HR consultant working with small start up to large companies to assess, design, and deliver specific HR services and programs, as well as training.

    She started her career in Training and Development and Recruiting and has several certifications as an HR and Training & Development professional, using multiple tools and methodologies for talent development, leadership development, and sales training.

     

History

AHM was co-founded in 1999 by Kevin McMurtry, our Chairman of the Board, and Joseph Luzi, as a highly specialized company focused solely on the expanding market for Speaker Pro­gram Management and support services. The strategy was to leverage technology to optimize productivity and op­erational efficiency, improve quality, and deliver “Best in Class” customer service to fill an unmet industry need for control, automation and information manage­ment of speaker pro­grams.

Kevin McMurtry, Founder, Board Chairman. Kevin began his career with Procter & Gamble in 1988 and joined Cahners Healthcare Publishing, a division of Reed-Elsevier, in 1991. Kevin served as Publisher of Hospital Medicine magazine, a clinical publication for physicians, from 1995 until 1998, when he joined Boron LePore & Associates. Kevin left BLP and founded AHM in March, 1999. Kevin has a B.A. degree in Philosophy from Colgate University and an MBA from the Stern School of Business.
